Alpaca Art Yarn, Soft and Squishy

This 100% alpaca yarn is soft, squishy, and wonderfully drapey.  It's a mill made yarn that looks and feels like handspun!  It's perfectly suited for scarves, cowls, and other flowing accessories. It knits up fast, making it an ideal choice for larger knitting needle and a satisfying quick project.   Also lovely as an accent yarn.

This is a novelty or art yarn by design.  The thick and thin variation is intentional and creates a one of a kind textured yarn.  The yarn is plush, pillowy and will give your finished piece a lovely artistic look.  The yarn is made by our mill partner, a fellow alpaca farmer and fiber mill in the USA.

The skeins available are 40 and 45 yards each.   I made a small cowl with another color of this yarn (see photo) which is 23 inches circumference and 6 inches high, using size US 15 needles and used just over one 45 yard skein.  At least 2 skeins are recommended for a small project.

Items made with this yarn should be gently hand washed and air dried.
